Machine Operator

Position Title:

Machine Operator Wage: $15.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours:

6:00am-2:30pm QPS Employment Group has a great Machine Operator position at a company in Davenport, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

• Assist in preparing and operating machines for tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
• Follow basic instructions and read simple blueprints or work orders to understand required tasks.
• Input simple commands or load pre-programmed settings into machines as directed. Load raw materials and parts onto machines and support machine setup for production runs.
• Perform routine checks on machinery and report any issues to supervisors or maintenance.
• Pick and pull orders from inventory, package, label, and prepare boxes as needed.
• Perform basic inspections of parts using visual checks and simple measuring tools.
• Notify supervisors of defects or issues and assist with sorting acceptable and non-conforming parts.
• Handle tools and materials safely, including sharp cutting tools, following safety guidelines.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to learn machine operation and follow instructions closely.
• Basic hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stay focused.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle small objects.
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs., and frequently lift up to 15 lbs.
