Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner; PMHNP

Overview

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Vera French is looking for an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with a focus on medication assisted treatment. The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) performs independent nursing interventions emphasizing health promotion and the management of acute and chronic mental illness. You will execute process and document medical treatments and assessments, practice autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patients' health care problems.

This is an on-site opportunity in our Davenport or Bettendorf, Iowa clinic.

• Serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant and client advocate
• Ensure the highest quality of nursing services, promoting optimum client care and the overall mission and objectives of the organization
• Provide diagnostic and pharmacological treatments and non-pharmacological therapies
• Synthesize collected data to formulate clinical decisions regarding diagnosis, interventions and outcomes for patients
• Provide direct services to patients including education regarding medications and monitoring of medications and lab work
• Order lab work and process/review lab reports
• Demonstrate expertise in interpreting bio-psycho-social data and assume accountability for delegated interventions

• Master's or Doctorate Degree from an accredited program
• Licensure as a registered nurse and licensed as an advanced registered nurse practitioner as required by the state of Iowa
• Certified as a clinical specialist/NP by ANCC or other accepted certifying body as defined by the Nurse Practice Act in Iowa
• Minimum three years related clinical experience preferred
• Knowledge of involuntary hospitalization laws pertaining to mental impairment and substance abuse; working knowledge of managed care concepts and practices
• Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred
