Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Pulmonary Outpatient Clinic - $10k Starting Bonus

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Pulmonary team in an outpatient-only setting. This role focuses on providing high-quality, patient-centered care in partnership with our Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians, supporting continuity of care for patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient care for pulmonary patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic respiratory conditions
  • Collaborate closely with Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians to manage shared patient panels
  • Conduct follow-up visits, medication management, and care plan adjustments
  • Coordinate care across specialties, including referrals, testing, and procedures
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and preventive care
  • Review diagnostic studies such as pulmonary function tests, imaging, and lab results
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Practice Details
  • 100% outpatient pulmonary clinic
  • No inpatient responsibilities
  • Work alongside a collaborative team of Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians
  • Established patient base with strong referral network
  • Supportive clinical and administrative staff
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Board certified (or eligible)
  • Active or eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa
  • Experience in pulmonary, critical care, or internal medicine preferred, but not required
  • Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Schedule & Work Environment
  • Full-time, weekday schedule
  • No nights, weekends, or call responsibilities
