Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

The orthopedic registered nurse provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing spine, knee, and hip surgeries within the operating room. They coordinate pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring optimal surgical outcomes and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health history and current condition prior to surgery.
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and operating room equipment.
• Assist surgeons during procedures, ensuring sterile technique is maintained.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage intraoperative patient care.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure timely and efficient procedure flow.
• Provide post-operative care instructions and support recovery process.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid nursing license.
• Have at least 2 years of orthopedic nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in spine, Mako knee, and hip procedures.
• Possess strong clinical assessment and patient management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
