Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients in a labor and delivery setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort during childbirth. Collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess laboring patients and monitor fetal and maternal health status.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed to facilitate delivery.
• Educate patients and families on labor progress and postnatal care.
• Document clinical assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Possess recent experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Exhibit excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities.
• Be flexible to work from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with every third weekend availability.
