RN - Float Pool Registered Nurse

07-15:30, 40 hours every 2 weeks, Every other weekend, Some holidays

• Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally‑competent care for high‑risk pediatric through aging adult patients with potential life‑threatening conditions in the intensive care units.
• Conducts complex assessments, diagnoses, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidence‑based practice.
• Provides high‑intensity therapies and interventions with continuous nursing surveillance.
• Adheres to Professional Practice Standards as defined by the American Nurses Association.
• Participates actively in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities.

• Education:
  
  Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred with 2 years of critical care or similar experience).
• Training: ACLS and Basic Life Support required; additional training in critical care/ED/CSU/CU preferred.
• Licensure:
  Registered Nurse in Iowa;
  Registered Nurse in Illinois within one year.
• No prior experience required.
