-12 hr shifts per week - Every other weekend
- Holiday rotation
- Assesses plans
- Implements and evaluates patients’ care and condition based upon observation, examination and other pertinent information
- Completes assessment in specified time frame
- Identifies and consistently recognizes changes in normal and abnormal parameters in the patient's physiological, psychological, cultural, developmental, and spiritual needs
- Implements nursing interventions to achieve progress toward expected patient outcomes or to stabilize a patient's condition and/or prevent complications
- Evaluates and documents patients' response to nursing care and modifies or revises treatment plans, and/or contacts physicians as circumstances require Participates in interdisciplinary patient care planning and evaluates patient progression in preparation for safe discharge
- Identifies and completes assessments of patient (family) educational needs Provides education consistent with patient's level of understanding using existing resources based on diagnosis, treatment plan or prescribed medical regimen

- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide a high level of nursing care in units to which assigned.
- Demonstrate the ability to use critical thinking skills in the implementation of all phases of the nursing process.
- Facilitate clinical skill and knowledge acquisition for nursing students assigned to the RN/the RN’s patient care area for clinical academic program course requirements and experience.
- Schedules, assigns, and coordinates work.
- Checks the quality of work and provides guidance, instruction, training, and direction to others.
- Education:
Bachelor's Degree - Field OF Study:
Nursing - Special Training: ACLS;
Basic Life Support;
Minimum of 2 years experience in nursing - Training Preferred: ANCC Certified in Medical-Surgical Nursing or related field
- Licensures/Registration:
Registered Nurse in Iowa and/or Illinois - Experience:
More than 2 years experience required
