Pay & Benefits
  • Pay Package: $80/hr for local candidates within 50 miles of facility and $90/hr for travel candidates 50 miles or more from facility

What You’ll Do
  • Provide diagnostic assessments and prescribe pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments for mental health conditions
  • Synthesize patient data to formulate clinical decisions and treatment plans
  • Educate patients on medication management and monitor lab work
  • Order, review, and interpret lab reports
  • Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and medication records accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community agencies to coordinate care
  • Serve as a resource and consultant for staff and external providers
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards, policies, and regulations
What You Need
Required:
  • Licensure as a registered nurse and licensed as an advanced registered nurse practitioner in Iowa
  • Certification as a clinical specialist/NP by ANCC or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of related clinical experience
  • Knowledge of psychotropic medications, mental health assessment, and managed care concepts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Knowledge of involuntary hospitalization laws and trauma-informed care practices
