- Provide diagnostic assessments and pharmacological treatments for mental health conditions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, including medication management and therapy
- Order laboratory tests and review results to inform treatment decisions
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes thoroughly and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families about medication use and mental health management
- Support quality and safety standards in accordance with organizational policies
Required:
- Licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in Iowa
- Certification as a Clinical Specialist/NP by ANCC or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience
- Strong knowledge of mental health assessments and psychotropic medications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Knowledge of involuntary hospitalization laws and managed care concepts
