What You’ll Do:

Perform independent nursing interventions emphasizing mental health promotion and management of acute and chronic mental illness
Conduct assessments, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients with behavioral health conditions
Provide pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies, including medication management and patient education
Order and review lab work, interpret biopsychosocial data, and document treatment progress
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community agencies for comprehensive patient care
Ensure all patient records are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations
Support quality of care initiatives and participate in organizational communication efforts

What You Need:
Required:

Active Nurse Practitioner license in Iowa
Certification as a clinical specialist/NP by ANCC or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years related clinical experience
Strong knowledge of psychotropic medications and mental health assessment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Knowledge of involuntary hospitalization laws and managed care concepts
Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and handle multiple priorities
