QA Inspector

Primary Function

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards through inspections, testing, and documentation. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction.

• Perform in-process and final inspections of products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other tools.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of findings.
• Identify and report non-conformities or defects to the appropriate departments.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in quality inspection or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality control standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity for inspecting small parts or components.

• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (QMS).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
