Merchandiser Travel Retail Service is responsible for representing Acosta, our clients, and our customers by effectively working in teams to perform reset and remodel work including reading and implementation of plan‑ograms, new item placement, void corrections, and special merchandising activity. Must be a self‑starter, quick learner, has a strong attention to detail, and works well in a team environment.
What will you do?- Read and follow a plan‑ogram to complete reset and remodel work, using merchandising knowledge.
- Move and clean shelves, install new racks and shelves, display merchandise properly, place shelf strips and attach tags accurately, check date codes and plan‑ogram integrity, and process pack‑outs, restocks, and reorders as needed.
- Partner with store personnel and co‑workers to achieve and maintain merchandising excellence, discuss changes, and build effective relationships.
- Prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation related to reset and remodel work accurately.
- Perform tasks safely, demonstrating awareness of surroundings, using proper safety techniques and equipment, and alerting management to unsafe conditions.
- Understand and follow all Acosta policies and standard operating procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience reading and using plan‑ograms; retail and reset experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Comfortable using technology such as smartphones, computers, copiers, fax, and handheld devices.
- Strong demonstration of core competencies: quality commitment, detail orientation, customer service, communication, and the ability to work accurately with web‑based applications.
- Willing and able to work in cold conditions (refrigerated and freezer sections) for limited periods.
- Strong interpersonal, decision‑making, and leadership skills; excellent readability and communication.
- Must be at least 21 years old to obtain necessary travel credentials.
Travel is required, with overnight stays up to 75%–100% of the time. Occasional weekend work may be required.
