Water Damage Field Technician
Assist in retaining customers by fulfilling the company's obligations through the delivery of water mitigation and restoration services. Primary duties and responsibilities include consistently following Rainbow Restoration's 17 steps of world class customer service, effectively performing all water damage mitigation and restoration services the company offers, communicating timely and effectively with customers, performing basic equipment maintenance, performing basic vehicle maintenance, properly documenting water mitigation files in MICA and Fusion, inspecting completed work, completing technician's daily log, completing work orders, completing appropriate restoration documentation, and following Rainbow uniform policy.
Additional duties and responsibilities include maintaining appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles and maintaining inventory of related supplies.
Decision rights and authority include determining the sequence of steps to be taken when delivering the company's services at the customer's property. Working relationships and scope include maintaining timely and effective communication and flow of information with lead technicians, supervisors, or managers. Performance competencies include oral communication, written communication, planning and organizing, technical skills, and quality.
Qualifications include a high school diploma (or GED), minimum 2 years experience, MICA program experience, IICRC certification for water mitigation, valid drivers license, adequate math skills, basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices, and understanding and becoming proficient in the use of software systems (e.g. Fusion, MICA, Moisture Mapper). Basic construction skills are preferred. Physical demands include sitting, using hands to finger, handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, standing, walking, lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds.
Working conditions include exposure to standing water and sewage, heat unavailable due to lack of utilities, fire damage, and mold or other organic growth. Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience.
