Senior HVAC​/R Service Tech

Cool Sys is seeking a Senior HVAC/R Service Tech to lead field service for commercial and industrial customers. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain complex HVAC-R and refrigeration systems, perform preventative maintenance, and optimize equipment for energy efficiency and reliability. You'll handle advanced troubleshooting, support emergency calls, and provide clear, professional communication to customers. Working in a safety-first, team-oriented culture, you will mentor junior techs, follow all codes and standards, and leverage ongoing technical training and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and system optimization for energy efficiency
• Lead complex troubleshooting and ensure high-quality, code-compliant work
• Provide emergency service and respond to service calls in a timely manner
• Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service systems
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and customers on solutions
• Mentor and support junior technicians in technical skills and safety practices
• Follow all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company standards
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain issues, options, and solutions
