New professors teach four courses in their first year and then five courses each year thereafter.

The following materials are required: cover letter describing teaching and research experience as well as approach to teaching students from a variety of backgrounds; curriculum vitae; and sample syllabi of courses the applicant is prepared to offer.
Please include the names and contact information for three references from whom letters of recommendation may be solicited at a future date.
Review of applications will begin on October 1, 2026. All application materials should be submitted online idson.edu. Direct inquiries to Gerardo Martí, Chair of the Search Committee (gemarti).
