Role Overview
Compressor Test Technician II – On‑site, 5 days per week at Trane Technologies HQ, Davidson, NC. 1st Shift.
Responsibilities- Work safely and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Support product development activities by operating commercial HVAC equipment, controlling test facilities, and collecting and reviewing experimental test data.
- Independently install, modify, and build developmental commercial HVAC equipment and components, following engineering, agency, and test requirements.
- Work with Test Engineering and other Technicians to install and utilize laboratory test equipment including data acquisition systems, power analyzers, flow equipment, pressure, and temperature measurement devices.
- Independently troubleshoot and repair HVAC compressors and compressor test facilities.
- Associate’s Degree in HVAC (or related technical discipline) and at least 5 years of relevant HVAC or compressor work experience; OR at least 7 years of HVAC or compressor experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- EPA Type Universal Certification or willingness to become certified.
Annual Base Salary Range: $52,630.00 – $74,340.00. Compensation type:
