** Senior Power Electronics Validation Engineer
** to join our Advanced Concepts and Capabilities Engineering team and play a key role in validating advanced power conversion technologies that enable high‐efficiency HVAC and climate-control this role, you will lead validation efforts for power electronic systems in an R&D environment —including inverters, converters, motor drives, and high‐voltage architectures—ensuring quality, reliability, safety, and performance across commercial and industrial applications. The successful candidate will be a hands-on team player in an agile development environment exhibiting technical and strategic thought leadership in advancing validation efforts for power electronics.

Job Responsibilities (others may be added):
*** Lead validation planning, execution, and documentation for power electronics systems and key subsystems.
* Develop validation strategies addressing functional performance, safety, environmental robustness, EMI/EMC, thermal behavior, and long‐term reliability.
* Design and execute automated and manual test setups for high‐voltage and high‐power systems.
* Collaborate closely with design engineering, systems engineering, and manufacturing engineering to ensure design intent is fully validated.
* Analyze test results, identify design risks, and recommend corrective actions or enhancements.
* Develop test procedures, validation plans, design verification methods, and related documentation.
* Support root-cause investigations, FMEA activities, and reliability assessments.
* Mentor junior engineers, lab technicians and support continuous improvements in validation methodologies and laboratory practices.
* Partner with suppliers and external labs to coordinate specialized testing when required.
* Maintain a strong adherence to lab safety, compliance, and best practices in handling high‐energy systems.

* Minimum Qualifications:
*** Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related technical discipline) and at least 5-years of work experience in power electronics validation, testing or design is required.
* Master's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
** Key Skills or
Competencies:
*** Hands-on experience with inverters, drives, converters, high‐voltage systems, and motor control technologies.
* Strong understanding of power semiconductor devices (IGBT, SiC, MOSFET), embedded controllers, magnetics, and thermal management including component characterization.
* Experience operating advanced test facilities including thermal chambers, HALT, Power Hardware-in-Loop, dynamo meters etc.
* Proficiency with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, high‐voltage probes, digital acquisition systems, and automated test equipment.
* Experience with standards such as UL, IEC, CSA, and EMC/EMI compliance requirements including UL 61800-5-1 and UL 61800-3.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze complex test data and communicate actionable insights.
