Job OverviewThe ISC Financial Analyst is an integral member of Trane’s Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Finance Department, being a key support of monthly & quarterly operational and financial performance reporting. This individual will play a key role in collaborating across multiple functions and levels of the organization in developing and supporting the execution of forecasts, annual budgets, and other projects. The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment with high visibility, and strong work ethic.
What you will do:- Work with operations and finance partners to develop and load financial forecast and budget (Annual Operating Plan) on assigned departmental / inventory accounting areas for P&L and balance sheet.
- Consolidate submissions from multiple facilities and deliver timely, accurate, and relevant financial reporting.
- Support the continuing improvement of operational analytics by evolving or developing key manufacturing reporting.
- Drive reporting standard work and operational excellence methodologies.
- Coordinate system improvements / automation to better standardize processes in the cost / operations reporting area.
- Perform financial analysis for different scenarios, projects and ad‑hoc analytical assignments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent business background required. Professional certification (CPA/CMA) and/or MBA a plus.
- 3+ years’ progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Experience with financial reporting cycles, such as forecasts and budgets (AOP).
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint. One Stream/Hyperion, Oracle, or other ERP system experience is a plus. Tableau / Alteryx experience is a plus.
Competencies:
- Understanding of financial statements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Self‑motivated individual with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented and deadline sensitive.
- Possess excellent organization and time management skills to be able to handle several assignments at one time and work in matrix organization.
- Experience with in a distribution or manufacturing organization preferred.
