Senior Project Manager - AI Initiatives

Overview

Our client, a technology ‑ enabled enterprise organization, is seeking an IT Project Manager II to join their team. As an IT Project Manager II, you will be part of the IT / PMO organization supporting Enterprise AI, Information Security, and cross ‑ functional business teams. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder communication skills, structured execution discipline, and the ability to lead complex, cross ‑ functional initiatives, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: IT Project Manager II
Location: Hybrid | 3 days onsite | Davidson, NC
Pay Range: $59 - $63/ hour

• Lead medium to large AI ‑ related initiatives including Copilot enablement, AI governance, vendor AI solutions, and AI ‑ driven productivity tools
• Manage cross ‑ functional project execution using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Coordinate resources, schedules, dependencies, vendors, and risks across AI work streams
• Ensure compliance with Responsible AI principles, governance checkpoints, security, and risk requirements
• Communicate project status, milestones, risks, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Master’s preferred
• PMP certification required;
  Scrum Master certification preferred
• 5+ years of project management experience managing medium to large initiatives
• Strong knowledge of Waterfall and Agile/Scrum frameworks; experience with Jira
• Experience delivering technically complex projects (AI experience a plus, not required)
