Senior Microsoft Consultant

Location Davidson, NC (Onsite 5 Days Per Week)

We are seeking a Senior Collaboration Platform Engineer to provide technical leadership, architecture, governance, and strategic direction across a global Microsoft 365 collaboration ecosystem.

This role serves as the senior technical authority for enterprise collaboration technologies, responsible for shaping long‑term platform strategy, driving modernization initiatives, leading M&A collaboration integrations, and delivering secure, scalable, and user‑centric solutions across a global organization.

The ideal candidate combines deep hands‑on Microsoft 365 engineering expertise with executive‑level communication skills and the ability to influence senior leadership on enterprise collaboration strategy.

• Architect and engineer enterprise collaboration solutions across Microsoft 365
• Lead design and implementation of advanced configurations, integrations, and automation frameworks
• Develop long‑term platform roadmaps and lifecycle strategies
• Establish resiliency, scalability, and governance standards
• Drive modernization initiatives across collaboration technologies

• Define governance frameworks for:
• Microsoft Teams
• SharePoint Online
• One Drive
• Exchange Online
• Microsoft 365 Applications
• Power Platform
• Establish architecture standards and operational best practices
• Ensure compliance, security, and platform consistency globally

• Partner with executive leadership, enterprise architecture, security, and business stakeholders
• Influence collaboration strategy and technology adoption decisions
• Present architectural recommendations and platform roadmaps to senior leadership
• Lead technical decision‑making during major enterprise initiatives
• Design collaboration integration and migration strategies
• Lead tenant consolidation, identity integration, and platform harmonization efforts
• Drive post‑acquisition collaboration transformation initiatives
• Power Shell
• Microsoft Graph API
• Workflow orchestration tools
• Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies and AI capabilities
• Drive adoption of Copilot and AI‑enhanced workplace solutions
• Improve platform efficiency and user experience through automation

• Act as highest‑level escalation point for critical platform issues
• Lead root‑cause analysis and problem management initiatives
• Mentor engineering teams and elevate organizational capabilities
• Drive continuous improvement and service optimization

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years supporting and engineering Microsoft 365 collaboration environments
• Expert‑level knowledge of:
• Microsoft Teams
• SharePoint Online
• One Drive for Business
• Exchange Online
• Microsoft 365 Administration
• Strong Power Shell scripting and automation experience
• Experience with Microsoft Graph API
• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 governance and architecture
• Experience presenting technical recommendations to executive leadership

• Teams Rooms / Conference Room Technologies
• Microsoft Copilot implementation experience
• Power Platform governance experience
