BRIEF
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director, Supply Chain Strategy, Analytics & Value Management, serves as the financial and strategic business partner within the Logistics & Planning organization. This role is responsible for evaluating and optimizing supply chain investments, inventory deployment decisions, network initiatives, and operational performance through a value-based decision framework. This leader combines supply chain expertise, financial acumen, advanced analytics, and strategic planning capabilities to ensure logistics and planning investments deliver measurable improvements in customer service, inventory productivity, network efficiency, and working capital performance.
The role will partner closely with Planning, Transportation, Inventory Strategy, Category Management, Procurement, Operations, and Finance to ensure supply chain decisions are aligned with enterprise objectives and deliver sustainable value creation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Chain Strategy & Value Management
- Lead development of business cases and investment strategies supporting supply chain transformation initiatives.
- Evaluate tradeoffs among inventory investment, service levels, transportation costs, working capital, and growth opportunities.
- Develop financial and operational models supporting strategic decision making.
- Quantify and prioritize opportunities across inventory, transportation, network design, sourcing, and process improvement.
- Establish value-capture frameworks to ensure initiatives deliver measurable business results.
Working Capital & Inventory Productivity Leadership
- Serve as the Logistics & Planning lead for inventory productivity and working capital performance.
- Partner with Inventory Strategy, Planning, Procurement, and Finance teams to establish inventory targets and performance goals.
Develop analytics supporting:
- Inventory turns
- Inventory productivity
- Fill rate optimization
- Inventory investment levels
- Excess and obsolete inventory reduction
- Evaluate opportunities to improve inventory deployment, assortment productivity, and network inventory placement.
- Support enterprise working capital reduction initiatives focused on releasing cash while protecting service levels. Inventory optimization and working capital productivity are identified priorities across multiple strategic initiatives
Network Optimization & Strategic Analytics
Develop models supporting:
- Network footprint decisions
- Inventory placement strategies
- Service level design
- Transportation optimization
- Facility investment decisions
- Inventory segmentation strategies
- Quantify cost, service, inventory, and working capital impacts associated with network alternatives.
- Support executive reviews through scenario development and strategic recommendations.
- Network optimization initiatives have focused on inventory positioning, stocking strategies, transportation efficiency, and working capital productivity.
SIOP / IBP & Business Integration
- Partner with Planning leadership to integrate financial outcomes into SIOP and IBP processes.
