Position: RN House Supervisor- Every Other Weekend

RN House Supervisor Day Shift Every Other Weekend – Saturday & Sunday 6:30 am to 7:00 pm

The Pines at Davidson is hiring a RN House Supervisor to ensure top‑notch care for our residents in our assisted living and long‑term care settings. The RN House Supervisor provides clinical oversight, team‑member supervision, and coordination of resident care across all levels of the community (assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing). This role ensures the delivery of high‑quality care and an effective response to urgent situations.

Who You Are
  • Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
  • Experience in a geriatric setting preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of current standards of practice and the rules, regulations, and laws related to nursing practice within the long‑term care industry. Ability to teach this knowledge to others.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to exercise judgement.
  • Strong listening skills and ability to deal with conflict with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including the ability to independently create documents in various programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Adobe), and navigate electronic medical record systems.
  • Positive interpersonal relationship skills, including with persons of all ages and cultures.
  • Ability to lead others and communicate effectively.
  • Current CPR Certification.

Job Duties
  • Provide clinical leadership for all nursing team members during assigned shifts.
  • Conduct resident rounds to evaluate condition changes, monitor high‑risk residents, and ensure clinical needs are met.
  • Supervise and assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Oversee timely completion of documentation, including assessments, incident reports, and nursing notes.
  • Respond to codes, rapid responses, and acute condition changes.
  • Communicate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and families as needed.
  • Ensure proper escalation and documentation of emergency events.
  • Participate in hand‑off reports, care plan updates, and leadership huddles.
  • Address resident/family concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure residents receive needed services, comfort measures, and timely provider notification.
  • Promote a positive, supportive environment for residents.
  • Identify trends or concerns and elevate to the DON or Administrator.
  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement in resident care.
Physical Requirements (AS DETERMINED USING WORKSHEET)
  • Extended periods of sitting, walking, and standing.
  • Frequently required to lift up to 10 lb., occasionally required to lift up to 25 lb.
  • Repetitive use of hands includes simple grasping of less than 10 lb. frequently; fine manipulation using keyboard and writing frequently.
  • Sensory requirements:
    Write, keyboarding, speak on phone and in person, speak to large groups, read computer monitor, hear spoken questions and comments in person, on phone and in large groups.
  • Work performed in an indoor setting with occasional walking outdoors to various campus locations.
  • Must be able to detect odors, hear phones and emergency call systems, and see indicator lights.
