Job Summary

The Vice President, Enterprise Quality is the senior‑most quality leader at Trane Technologies. Reporting to the SVP of Global Integrated Supply Chain, the role defines the global quality strategy, establishes an enterprise‑wide quality management system, and drives quality excellence across all regions, business units, products, and manufacturing locations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and own the Enterprise Quality Strategy and a unified global Quality Management System (QMS) with clear standards, processes and accountability.
  • Lead proactive, prevention‑driven quality initiatives to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and enhance product, supplier, and manufacturing quality.
  • Implement advanced digital capabilities, including predictive analytics, real‑time defect detection, automated workflows, and a Quality Data Warehouse.
  • Embed quality in new product development through Design For Quality (DFQ), risk assessment, VOC integration, and early launch containment.
  • Improve field quality and customer experience by linking complaints, warranty analytics, and factory processes into continuous improvement loops.
  • Build a high‑performance global quality organization, strengthen competencies, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and field teams to translate customer pain points into engineering and manufacturing action.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of progressive quality leadership experience in global industrial or complex engineered product environments.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise‑wide quality management systems, APQP/PPAP, design quality, supplier quality, and manufacturing quality.
  • Track record of reducing COPQ, improving customer satisfaction, and building proactive quality cultures.
  • Experience working within global, matrixed organizations with diverse product lines and manufacturing footprints.
  • Familiarity with digital quality tools (IoT, computer vision, predictive analytics, automated inspection) strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree (engineering or technical field preferred); advanced degree or quality certification (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, CQE) valued.
  • Ability to travel globally up to 25–30% of the time.
Compensation & Benefits

Annual base salary range: $304,792 – $398,125. Incentive compensation eligible. Benefits include health insurance, wellness programs, fertility coverage, adoption assistance, 401(k) match up to 8%, paid time off, educational assistance, and more.
