• Must be personally strong with AI‑assisted engineering workflows.
• Not a formal AI‑transformation charter role, but expected to model strong AI‑enabled execution and share practical patterns.

• Own medium‑to‑large initiatives across services/components.
• Lead architecture and implementation trade‑offs in Java/Spring Boot systems.
• Improve software quality through code review, testing discipline, and maintainability practices.
• Contribute to production support, incident diagnosis, and reliability improvements.
• Partner with product, implementation, and QA teams for smooth delivery.

• Uses AI coding tools daily in practical delivery workflows.
• Applies AI across implementation, test creation, debugging, and documentation.
• Critically evaluates AI outputs for correctness and security before shipping.
• Shares effective usage patterns through pairing, code review, and team collaboration.

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Java backend and Spring Boot delivery depth.
• Experience with REST APIs, SQL/data modeling, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring in senior IC roles.
• Strong communication and cross‑team collaboration.
• Demonstrated, real‑world AI‑assisted engineering fluency.

• Cloud-native operations exposure (AWS preferred).
• Observability and operational tooling experience.
• Financial services domain experience.

• Can explain specific examples of AI improving delivery outcomes.
• Can identify and correct AI mistakes before production.
• Demonstrates senior ownership and pragmatic decision-making.
• Improves team quality through influence and execution.

• Position as a strong senior backend role in a modern AI‑enabled engineering environment.
• Emphasize that candidate should be AI‑fluent in day‑to‑day engineering, but this is not an AI/ML research role.
