Position: Development Analyst (BLANK AST 4)

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Development and External Relations, provide analytical and administrative support for the Assistant Dean of Development and External Relations, act as a liaison with the Dean’s Office in coordinating development related meetings and events for the Dean and Associate Deans of the College, while providing support to the Development and External Relations team. Provide comprehensive support to the Assistant Dean of Development and External Relations, including complex calendaring, meeting preparation, report generation, proposals and special projects.

Assist Directors of Development with administrative functions that support frontline fundraising activities, including donor correspondence, travel coordination, meeting logistics, preparation of briefing and stewardship materials. Prepare financial reports and process travel and expense reconciliation. Support gift processing activities, ensuring timely and accurate administration of philanthropic gifts in accordance with university policies and procedures. Serve as a resource to donor inquiries, resolve gift related issues, prepare acknowledgements and support efforts that strengthen donor engagement and satisfaction.

Additionally, support departmental projects and initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the college’s fundraising and donor relations programs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative and analytical support to executive or senior leadership, including managing complex calendars, preparing reports and correspondence, coordinating meetings and projects, exercising independent judgment, and communicating diplomatically with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including donors, alumni, faculty and staff.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting donor, fundraising, advancement, alumni relations, development, or other customer relationship management functions, including maintaining confidential constituent records and coordinating donor- or client-facing activities.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of customer, constituent, donor, or other relationship management databases and preparing reports using those systems.
  • Organizational skills to take appropriate initiative and prioritize work under multiple competing deadlines, heavy workload and overlapping activities in a complex and demanding unit.
