Davis Waldorf School is seeking a dedicated 3rd Grade Class Teacher to join our faculty. We invite a teacher who brings deep engagement with Waldorf pedagogy and a genuine love of accompanying children through the grades years. You will deliver the Waldorf grades curriculum in a lively, age‑appropriate manner, with strong communication skills, knowledge of child development, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in curriculum development and classroom practice.

Davis Waldorf School serves 225 children from preschool through eighth grade. In our 40th year, we are experiencing healthy enrollment, ongoing growth, and strong community support. Our faculty is engaged, reflective, and forward‑thinking — staying current with Waldorf educational research while remaining rooted in Waldorf developmental pedagogy. Our robust specialty program includes Spanish, Handwork, Games, Strings, Music, Gardening, and Woodworking. You will join a warm, collaborative community whose deep love of children is matched by a strong commitment to collegial work and authentic partnership with families.

  • Plan daily, weekly, and block rhythms of the year in alignment with Waldorf pedagogy and the needs of the class.
  • Deepen understanding of Anthroposophy and child development through ongoing study and professional growth.
  • Build a healthy class community and develop strong, authentic relationships with families.
  • Participate in weekly grades section meetings, faculty meetings, and contribute to committee service.
  • Incorporate a diversity and social justice framework in curriculum development and classroom practice.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 1–2 years of relevant classroom experience
  • Completion of, or current enrollment in, a Waldorf Teacher Training program
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completed Waldorf Teacher Certification and classroom experience in a Waldorf school

Salary range: $53,000 – $90,000 annually, based on experience and education.
