Temporary Teaching Opportunities in History for 2026-2027

Position overview

Salary range: A reasonable estimate for this position is $70,977 to $92,609.

The Department of History at the University of California, Davis, intends, pending administrative approval and funding, to make temporary appointments of lecturers for one or more courses in the following fields:

• Latin American History (Pending Funding)
• Asia/Middle East History (Pending Funding)
• European History (Pending Funding)
• United States History (Pending Funding)
• Other courses as needed

Preference will be given to candidates with the Ph.D., but those who have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. except the dissertation will be considered. Compensation is contingent upon qualifications and experience.

Applications are accepted on a continuous basis for future temporary openings. Applicants internal to the UC Davis Department of History who had an appointment in  and apply by the "Initial Review Date" of July 1, 2026 will be considered prior to all other applicants. Only completed files will be reviewed.
