The CPL is a veterinary medical diagnostic laboratory and research core serving the university and external scientific community by providing pathology support for basic and translational research and fulfilling the clinical and health surveillance requirements inherent to the use of animals in research.
The CNPRC is part of the NIH-supported system of primate centers leading global interdisciplinary biomedical research efforts. The Pathology Service provides diagnostic support for the non-human primate (NHP) breeding colonies of rhesus macaques and titi monkeys, and research support for investigators within and outside the CNPRC.
QualificationsDVM or VMD from an American Veterinary Medical Association–accredited or equivalent Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) institution.
- 2 years or more of anatomic pathology training (a residency).
- Post-residency boarded-certified or eligible applicants are most welcome.
