Job Description & How to Apply Below

The City of Citrus Heights is seeking a Management Analyst I/II (Human Resources) to join our team and take a meaningful role in supporting our employees and organization.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the people side of HR as much as the technical side. The position has a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, with a primary focus on workers’ compensation, leave administration, safety, and employee wellness. You’ll work closely with employees, supervisors, managers, medical providers, and HR colleagues to navigate complex situations, provide thoughtful guidance, and help ensure our workplace is safe, supportive, and compliant.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Manage workers’ compensation programs and claims, working with employees, departments, claims administrators, and medical providers to facilitate effective and timely claim resolution and return-to-work efforts.
  • Administer employee leaves, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and other protected and non-protected leaves, while helping employees and supervisors understand their rights and responsibilities.
  • Support workplace safety and risk management, including safety programs, training, ergonomic evaluations, safety committee, OSHA recordkeeping, and related compliance activities.
  • Develop and support employee wellness initiatives that promote a healthy, safe, and engaged workforce.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource to employees, supervisors, and managers by researching issues, interpreting policies and regulations, and providing practical solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, strengthen compliance, and make it easier for employees and managers to navigate HR programs.
About Our Team

We believe great HR is about more than policies and paperwork. It’s about people.

You’ll join a team that is involved in a broad range of HR functions and is constantly looking for ways to improve how we serve our employees and organization.

This position may be a great fit if you:

  • Enjoy working on complex issues and finding practical solutions.
