Oracle Forms Migration Consultant

Requirements Must have:

• Proven experience migrating Oracle Forms & Reports (10g, 11g, 12c)
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c
• Proficient in Oracle Database administration and migration (10g, 11g, 12c, 19c)
• Familiarity with Linux administration, preferably RHEL 7
• Documented experience in Windows-to-Linux Oracle migrations
• Experience with Java Web Start (JNLP) for Oracle Forms
• Understanding of Oracle patching processes (OPatch, bundle patches)
• Excellent ability to work autonomously with limited oversight
• Strong skills in technical documentation
• Pragmatic, risk-aware mindset regarding legacy systems

• Design a reliable architecture for Oracle Forms & Reports 12c on RHEL 7.9
• Oversee the migration of Oracle Forms & Reports from 10g (Windows) to 12c (Linux)
• Manage the migration of Oracle databases from 10g and 11gR2 (Windows) to 12c or 19c (Linux)
• Ensure functional consistency of Forms and Reports following migration
• Create and implement a secure, maintainable runtime environment
• Facilitate the decommissioning of all Windows-based Oracle servers
• Review the current Oracle Forms, Reports, and database framework
• Identify upgrade requirements specific to Forms & Reports versions
• Develop a migration plan with a detailed cutover approach
• Validate the suitability of RHEL 7.9 for Oracle Forms & Reports 12c
• Determine necessary OS packages, libraries, and kernel settings
• Configure the Oracle user accounts, directory structures, and permissions
• Install and set up the required Java version (Oracle JDK
  8)
• Execute the installation of Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure 12c
• Apply prescribed bundle patches
• Set up Forms & Reports domain and configure Web Logic servers
• Formulate the database migration strategy
• Validate the migration of Oracle databases, including schema integrity
• Compile and migrate Forms modules from 10g to 12c
• Address any compilation warnings and runtime issues
• Ensure successful launching of Forms via Java Web Start (JNLP)
