Sign Language Interpreter in Davis, CA

• 4.0 EIPA score or holds RID certification
• Demonstrated fluency in ASL and strong understanding of Deaf culture
• Previous experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with middle school students, is highly valued
• Professionalism, adaptability, and clear communication skills
• Culturally responsive and sensitive to student needs

• Provide sign language interpretation for students, staff, and families during classroom instruction, meetings, assemblies, and extracurricular activities
• Foster inclusive learning by facilitating communication between Deaf/hard-of-hearing students and their peers or teachers
• Adhere to ethical and professional guidelines for educational interpreting
• Prepare for assignments by reviewing lesson content and materials ahead of time
• Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and support staff to best meet students' communication needs
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate records as required
