Job Summary:
Under general direction of the Assistant Custodial Supervisor, provide direction to custodial staff on daily operational activities. Position also responsible for performing custodial work.

- Valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record or enrollment in California Employer Pull Notice Program.
- No minimum education required.
- At least one (1) year of experience performing custodial work.
- Knowledge of custodial materials, equipment, cleaning solvents, soaps, waxes, and related chemicals.
- Knowledge of standard safety precautions and rules used in custodial work.
- At least 6 months of experience leading staff or students.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to develop, implement and conduct training and safety programs.
- Skill to maintain written records and prepare reports, perform basic arithmetic.
- Knowledge of standard safe work practices for guiding custodial staff.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to instruct others on use of equipment and cleaning solvents.
- Knowledge of campus, state driving codes and regulations.

The Custodial Services department prepares laboratories, classrooms, and indoor spaces for research and teaching at the highest level. Our goal is to provide quality, consistent services responsive to diverse customer needs.
Position Information- Salary: $23.23/hr – $30.01/hr (Bi‑Weekly).

UC Davis campus is smoke‑free. Wear approved safety equipment. Work irregular shifts may include weekends, holidays, evenings. Work may involve hazardous materials. A pre‑placement medical exam is required. Permit to operate university fleet vehicles. Employer requires background checks, drug screening, and medical clearance.
