Hiring Senior Electrical Assembly Technician for Davis, CA. In this role, the technican closely follows work instructions and interprets drawings, while utilizing dexterity, perfected soldering and crimping skills they assemble small components for product sub-assemblies. The senior electrical assembly technician assembles electrical harnesses and sub-assemblies for integration into deep sea remotely operated vehicles and manipulator arm.
Salary Range:
$31.43/hour - $42.52/hour

- Perform high quality soldering on printed circuit boards and splice together 32
AWG wires - Crimp terminals onto 32
AWG wires - Follow standardized work practices.
- Perform highly complex electrical assemblies from detailed blueprints and verbal/written instructions with minimal supervision.
- Perform inspections of electrical assemblies to ensure it matches assembly prints and work instructions.
- Periodically perform engineering electrical prototype builds.
- Incorporate problem solving and process improvements into workflow.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years of electrical assembly experience.
- Ability to read and understand basic process assembly drawings, bill of materials.
- Proficient in the use of small hand tools (soldering iron, wire strippers, hand cutters, tweezers and crimpers).
- Ability to demonstrate soldering and desoldering techniques.
- Possess training in IPC A-610 and IPC A-620 standards or similar standards preferred.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions while following company policies.
- Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to contribute to a positive work environment adhering to the company's Principles of Integrity.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
- Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, and lift.
- Able to view objects under a microscope for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Frequent use of computer and close viewing of monitor.
- Regular, repetitive arm/hand motion (crimping, soldering, wire stripping, etc.)
- Work on concrete floors, wearing steel-toe boots up to 8-12 hours a day.
- Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment to include but not limited to eye and hearing protection and steel toe boots.
