Job Summary

We are looking for a Small Animal Hospital Cleaner to work alongside our world‑leading faculty clinicians and technicians, helping them teach the next generation of veterinarians while also supporting the animals and pet owners in our community.

Minimum Qualifications- No minimum education required.
- Experience using and working with cleaning supplies in a professional environment.
- Experience using cleaning equipment and agents.
- Interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people, including clients, clinicians, students and staff.
- Skills to maintain inventory of supplies.
- Experience working as a veterinary assistant in a small animal hospital.
- Experience using safe animal handling and restraint techniques for a wide variety of patients.
- Knowledge of common hospital pathogens and methods of disinfection, as well as medical terminology and disease processes.

The Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH) is a unit that provides clinical case material in support of the teaching programs throughout the School of Veterinary Medicine on a 24‑hour basis. Its primary objectives are to train professional (veterinary) students, graduate clinical students (interns and residents), and graduate academic students; to provide veterinary services to the public; to serve as a referral center for practicing veterinarians;
and to advance veterinary medical knowledge.
- Salary or Pay Range: $25.03/hr – $29.47/hr.
