Position: POST DOCTORAL SCIENTIST - Eliza Bliss-Moreau Lab

The National Biomedical Research Institute (NBRI) at UC Davis is an Organized Research Unit that conducts interdisciplinary research programs on significant human health related problems where nonhuman primates are the animal models of choice. In addition to its major efforts in the area of research, the NBRI is also committed to its missions of teaching and public service.

Position Description:
The Bliss-Moreau Laboratory at the National Biomedical Research Institute (NBRI), UC Davis is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to join our team working on our womb-to-tomb neuroanatomy projects evaluating structural variation and plasticity of the “affective brain” and/or behavior projects tracking affective/social/cognitive development across the lifespan. This laboratory is led by Dr. Eliza Bliss-Moreau, an associate director and core scientist at the NBRI and a faculty member in the UC Davis Department of Psychology.

The postdoctoral position will be located in Davis, CA.

Successful execution of this project will involve carrying out laboratory based testing of animals, neuroanatomical/histological analyses, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.

The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to and be involved in all aspects of the research process, including the development of new directions for the research study design, protocol development, data collection, data processing, data analysis, as well as writing and publishing research reports and reviews. An important aspect of this position will be project management and coordination.
