Job Summary
Provide journey-level electrical skills for exterior lighting systems, traffic signal control systems, EV Charging systems, and low voltage electrical utility systems.

Qualifications- Must possess a certificate of completion from a recognized union apprenticeship program, University apprenticeship program, accredited trade school or have the equivalent amount of experience and training comparable to a journey level craftsperson in the electrical trade.
- Required to hold a valid California driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
- High school diploma and/or equivalent experience.
- Journey level knowledge and experience in the electrical trade and related practices.
- Meet the minimum hours of on-the-job training compared to a 4-year apprenticeship program.
- Fully qualified to perform in the electrical trade without supervision.
- Capable of handling complex tasks independently.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety practices, and installation of approved systems and devices.
- Skilled in inspecting, maintaining, repairing, installing, and modifying electrical and related campus systems.
- Effective communication, analytical, and customer service skills to interpret technical data, interact with stakeholders, and resolve issues.
- Proficient in basic computer use, with the ability to learn new software and train or mentor apprentices as needed.
- Skilled in maintaining tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work environment.
- Able to evaluate potential system downtime and implement effective solutions.
- 60% - Construction, Renovation and Maintenance
- 20% - Preventative Maintenance
- 20% - Mechanical/Electrical Operations
