Spork food hub exists to create access to food to those who need it most while opening up new markets for farmers. Our main customers are school districts and state prisons and hospitals.
The ideal candidate would be:
- Self-motivated
- Attention to detail
- Work efficiently and cooperatively in a team
- Driven by mission to help farmers and create a more equitable food system
- Have a working knowledge of produce, varietal types, storage temps and handling
- Be able to lift 50#, kneel, squat, and be on your feet for 8 hours a day
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions
- Experience operating a pallet jack, stacker packer, and forklift a plus
- Experience driving a 16' and 20' box truck
- Previous warehouse experience a plus
- Packing orders
- Loading trucks
- Receiving/ checking quality of produce
- Deliveries in box trucks or vans
- Warehouse cleaning Truck cleaning
- Completing daily checklists
- Follow food safety plan
- Hourly $20-$24/hr DOE
- Produce share
- Retirement plan, 5 days Vacation after one year, 10 after two years, 6 sick days upon hire.
