Job DescriptionMcBride Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a Public Affairs Specialist
providing support to the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM).
Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) has been tasked with delivering an integrated Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network providing resilient decision advantage and enabling the USAF, USSF, Joint, and Coalition Force to win against the pacing challenge. C3BM supports execution in many different focus areas. C3BM’s main efforts are Architecture and Systems Engineering (ASE), Operational Response Team (ORT), and multiple mission integration teams such as Air, Maritime and multiple acquisitions consisting of both the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) and Space.
The Public Affairs Specialist will support the planning and execution of strategic programs. This role encompasses strategic communications, public affairs, outreach, and event planning. The specialist will manage communications content, coordinate high-visibility events, and strengthen stakeholder engagement across government, industry, academia, and international partners.
This is a Full-Time position located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH.
Duties include, but not limited to:Support and manage events, outreach programs, campaigns, ceremonies, and assignments.
Manage message content to ensure consistency across the division.
Plan, coordinate, and execute special events (e.g., ceremonies, official visits), ensuring all required activities are completed and aligned with the government lead and stakeholders.
Support all division conference exhibit activities.
Contribute to division strategic initiatives, including drafting press releases and articles, developing communications strategies, and leading strategic design for major events and conferences.
Coordinate community and stakeholder relations and lead execution of the division’s strategic community outreach plan to stakeholders, including industry, Congress, academia, and international organizations.

Required Qualifications
Clearance
:
Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret Level Clearance with current SCI eligibility
Education:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field
Years of experience:3+ years of experience with at least 3 years working in the DoD
Extensive experience in DoD public affairs, protocol, and event management.
Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to produce press releases, news articles, and speeches across multiple media.
Knowledge of agency program planning, funding, and management information systems.
