Electrical Engineer Senior

States Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design and development of custom electrical power distribution equipment and control panels for industrial and commercial clients. In this role, you will own project lifecycle from concept and schematics through layout, calculations, panel design, and integration with metal fabrication. Partner closely with production and field teams to ensure manufacturability, safety, and code compliance (NEC, UL).

Mentor junior engineers, support continuous improvement, and contribute to troubleshooting, testing, and quality initiatives in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of custom electrical power distribution equipment and control panels
• Develop electrical schematics, layouts, calculations, and bills of materials
• Ensure designs meet NEC, UL, and customer specifications
• Collaborate with fabrication and production teams for manufacturability
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis on electrical systems
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and drawings
• Interface with project managers and customers on technical requirements
• Drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
• Coordinate with integration teams on system installation and commissioning
