Summary:

Under the direction of the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator provides the best possible administrative and technical assistance in support of the human resources function, and the best possible administrative support to the management team, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works projects in a variety of human resources program areas including but not limited to:
    Union billing, Employee engagement, staffing, benefit administration and internal communications.
  • Assists with all routine HR functions in areas including but not limited to:
    Answering HR questions, benefit enrollment, entering and processing new hire, change and termination information, background checks, processing/reading performance reviews, HR form updates, Handbook updates.
  • Manages Colleague Survey and creates all statistical reports for overall Company results and for each location. Prepares PowerPoint slides for each location to be presented to colleagues.
  • Provides ad hoc reports to assist human resource management in decision making. Help to identify trends and potential issues based on HR metrics.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Addressing employee inquires and concerns, acting as a point of contact for HR-related matters.
  • Ensure that HR practices and procedures are following relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist with Internship program and events.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR Department, such as handling correspondence, schedule meetings, and organizing files.
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives and training programs.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; preferably in Human Resources.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employee policies and procedures, union contract, handbooks, and benefit information.
  • Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Additional Skills and Experience
  • Experience with Paylocity HRIS system
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and confidentiality.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
