Materials Cycle Counter II

Responsibilities

• Conduct cycle counts, investigate and reconcile inventory variances, and post cycle counts.
• Determine root‑cause issues for inventory discrepancies and communicate or participate in corrective actions.
• Coordinate and communicate with other shifts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Monitor progress toward weekly and monthly count requirements and proactively communicate with leadership to ensure goals are met.
• Participate actively as a team member through lean activities and continuous improvement processes to improve inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate inventory audits with finance and auditors.
• Perform third‑party cycle counts remotely from Dayton.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year(s) experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
• Proficiency with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards, and the Internet.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures and ability to promote compliance with them.
• Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Skill in communicating effectively through oral and written communication.
• Ability to identify and support continuous improvement.
• Ability to sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
• Ability to function in a high‑stress, high‑pressure environment with a positive attitude.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems with unique solutions.
• Ability to effectively organize and plan workload and work in a self‑directed manner.
• Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships across functional areas.

Compensation Range: $17.20 - $31.90 Per Hour. Depending on the position offered, employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
