Job Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II who supports the development, improvement, and maintenance of manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role works closely with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and solve technical problems.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, improve, and document manufacturing processes.
- Support production by troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and increased throughput.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices and support continuous improvement projects.
- Work with design and engineering teams to ensure products are manufacturable and cost-effective.
- Specify, test, and support installation of new equipment and tools.
- Create and update work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Train production staff on new processes, tools, or equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 - 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency with CAD software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with ERP systems and basic data analysis
Preferred: - Lean Six Sigma certification or similar training
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts
- Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects
