CNC Programmer- Mastercam

Job Description:

• Program and support CNC machining operations using Mastercam to produce high-quality precision parts that meet Client's quality, productivity, and efficiency standards while minimizing waste and supporting safe manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for production machining.
• Create efficient toolpaths based on engineering drawings, blueprints, layouts, and routings.
• Review part drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements when developing machining programs.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, tooling strategies, feeds, speeds, and machining methods.
• Modify and optimize existing CNC programs to improve cycle time, quality, tool life, and productivity.
• Support CNC machinists with program-related troubleshooting and technical assistance.
• Verify programs and machining processes prior to production runs.
• Assist with setup documentation, tooling requirements, and operational instructions.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues and make necessary program adjustments.
• Utilize measurement equipment and inspection data to support process improvements.
• Work with manufacturing and engineering personnel to develop and implement machining improvements.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with all applicable safety requirements.
• Support continuous improvement activities and help reduce scrap, downtime, and material waste.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2-year degree or technical education in Machine Tool Technology, CNC Programming, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with Mastercam and CNC programming.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, routings, and engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong PC skills and ability to utilize manufacturing ERP and operating systems.

Preferred:

• Experience developing and optimizing CNC programs using Mastercam.
• Ability to read and understand existing CNC programs and make program modifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and machining knowledge.
• Knowledge of feeds, speeds, tooling, and cutting conditions.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to optimize machining processes for quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Experience with precision measurement equipment such as CMM, comparators, Trimos, and gages.
• Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting production and machining teams.
