Role OverviewAs the Distribution Supervisor at nVent in Dayton, MN, you’ll lead a diverse team supporting inbound operations across multiple shifts.
Responsibilities- Operations Leadership – Lead the day‑to‑day inbound operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives that significantly increase productivity and efficiency, and strategically plan daily, weekly, and monthly to prioritize work, set clear timelines, and allocate resources to successfully deliver departmental goals.
- People Leadership – Lead and empower a high‑performing warehouse team in a fast‑paced distribution environment, foster a positive and productive work culture, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, performance feedback, and consistent support to motivate employees to meet and exceed performance targets.
- Ideally, 3 years of experience leading teams in a fast‑paced distribution environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or experience in a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of distribution processes, lean manufacturing/continuous improvement principles, ERP/WMS systems, handheld devices, and freight carriers.
- Ability to meet physical and environmental demands: lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing, occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching/stooping, and full use of upper extremities in the manipulation of materials. Warehouse is not temperature controlled.
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range$62,900.00 – $
Depending on the position offered, an employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
