Compo under - 3rd Shift

The compo under is responsible for retrieving and accurately measuring ingredients using scales, mixing various ingredients, and identifying and melting solids using hot plates. This role requires identifying ingredients that need dilution, performing the dilution process, and recording raw materials usage. The compo under is also responsible for maintaining quality standards by verifying the weight and contents of raw materials, conducting in-process batch inspections, documenting all process events, and following procedures and policies.

The compo under will process liquids, powders, and use homogenizing and spray dry methods of compounding, following standard batch instructions to accurately weigh dyes and other substances into the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and accurately measure ingredients using scales.
• Mix various ingredients and identify solids for melting using hot plates.
• Identify ingredients that require dilution and dilute appropriately.
• Record raw materials usage and maintain quality standards.
• Verify weight and contents of raw materials.
• Conduct in-process batch inspections and document all process events.
• Process liquids, powders using homogenizing and spray dry methods.
• Follow standard batch instructions for accurate weighing of dyes and substances.
• Check for consistency in batches and measure the viscosity of mixtures.
• Take samples of batches and submit them for laboratory testing.
• Follow food safety guidelines and accurately document completed work.
• Wear a uniform and proper personal protective equipment

This is a permanent position based out of Dayton, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
