Warehouse Worker
The Warehouse Worker plays a key role in supporting daily shipping, receiving, and inventory operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position focuses on stocking, organizing, and accurately processing materials using RF scanning technology while maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
Responsibilities- Perform shipping and receiving duties, including unloading, loading, and processing incoming and outgoing materials.
- Stock shelves, sort packages, and organize items in designated warehouse locations to ensure efficient access and accurate inventory.
- Pick orders and prepare, pack, and label boxes and packages according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Use RF scan guns and handheld scanners to scan, label, mark, and track inventory items throughout the warehouse.
- Conduct basic inventory tasks such as counting, verifying, and updating inventory records to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move, stage, and organize products safely.
- Follow established shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following all warehouse safety guidelines and procedures.
- Handle materials, packages, and products with care to prevent damage during loading, unloading, and storage.
- Work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced production environment to meet daily productivity and accuracy goals.
- Adhere to all warehouse policies, including restrictions on personal electronics, and comply with safety-conscious traffic patterns in narrow aisles.
- Adjust work practices as needed to accommodate changing temperatures and seasonal conditions in the warehouse.
- 0–6 months of related warehouse, general labor, or material handling experience.
- Ability to perform general labor tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving materials in a warehouse setting.
- Experience or comfort with packing boxes, picking orders, and packing orders for shipment.
- Ability to use RF scanners and RF scan guns for scanning, labeling, and tracking inventory.
- Basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse environment.
- Ability to operate a manual pallet jack safely to move pallets and materials.
- Experience with stocking shelves, sorting items, and organizing products in warehouse locations.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as scanning, labeling, and packaging while maintaining accuracy.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent movement and material handling.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with inventory processes, including counting, verifying, and updating stock records.
- Familiarity with warehouse production workflows and shipping and receiving operations.
- Comfort working around forklifts and other warehouse equipment in narrow aisles.
- Willingness to train and certify on CROWN trucks upon permanent hire.
- Ability to adapt to varying temperature conditions and physical demands.
- Strong attention to detail when scanning, sorting, and labeling items.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a fast-paced warehouse environment with narrow aisles where forklifts and hand carts move rapidly in clearly defined, safety-conscious directions. Personal cellphones and electronics are not permitted on the warehouse floor, supporting focus and safety. Temperature conditions vary with the seasons: the warehouse is heated in the winter to around 60 degrees, and it can become very hot in the summer, with fans and water coolers placed throughout the facility.
Team members should dress in light, breathable layers suitable for changing temperatures. Acceptable footwear includes sneakers, boots, or steel-toe shoes, while open-toe shoes, sandals, flats, and heels are prohibited to maintain safety standards.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.25 - $19.75/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
