Tax Supervisor

This Job can be at Dayton, Troy, or Cincinnati.

Any candidate who is willing to go on any of the location would work.

The Tax Supervisor oversees tax engagements for individuals and privately owned businesses while mentoring staff and maintaining strong client relationships.

• Prepare and review:
• Individual tax returns
• Corporate tax returns
• Partnership and fiduciary returns
• Manage multiple tax projects and ensure deadlines are met
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations
• Build and maintain client relationships
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior tax staff
• Review staff work for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with tax planning and consulting services
• Coordinate with managers and partners on client engagements
• Monitor tax law changes and apply updates to client work

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• A CPA is required for this role
• Public accounting experience (typically 3–5+ years)
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and accounting principles
• Experience reviewing complex tax returns
• Leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines during busy season

• Tax research and problem-solving
• Client advisory experience
• Staff management and mentoring
• Experience with tax software and Microsoft Excel
