Staff Accountant

Staff Accountants are responsible for:

• Preparing journal entries and posting transactions
• Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial data recordkeeping.
• Oversee transactions for both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely processing and accuracy in entries
• Assist with vendor and customer account resolution as necessary.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP or other regulatory standards.
• Assist in creating budget vs. actual variance analysis reports.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing accurate reports, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring all documentation is in order.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and company accounting policies.
• Process payroll journal entries, depreciation schedules, and expense accruals.
• Generate recurring invoices and process cash flow support documentation to management
• Recommend and implement improvements in the accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Effectively collaborate with accounting teams, managers, and external auditors to ensure goals are met.
