About the Role

The Students Records Clerk performs specialized clerical functions to support the Human Resources function as it relates to the upkeep, organization, and maintenance of Human Resources and Student Records. This position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and excellent administrative skills. The role is ideal for individuals who bring strong organizational abilities, communication skills, and a commitment to customer service.

Your work supports the accurate maintenance of student records, ensures proper documentation, and contributes to a productive and positive center culture.

What You’ll Do Records Management & Clerical Support
  • Prepare individual student folders and maintain discretion with confidential information.
  • Maintain student records for multiple reporting and status purposes.
  • Respond to staff and student inquiries related to HR and student records.
  • Perform general clerical duties including typing letters, forms, schedules, and reports.
  • Proofread and copy documents; process incoming/outgoing mail; file documentation.
  • Assist with processing student requests and record updates.
Center Culture & Compliance
  • Model, mentor, and monitor positive normative culture throughout the center.
  • Serve as a responsible custodian for assigned center property.
  • Report violations of ethical behavior and areas for improvement.
  • Suggest operational enhancements and waste‑reduction opportunities.
  • Identify and report environmental health and safety concerns.
Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of office experience in a professional setting.
Certifications & Competencies
  • Knowledge of filing protocols and best practices.
  • Ability to promote Career Success Standards (CSS) through modeling, mentoring, and monitoring behavior.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to type at least 50 words per minute.
  • Computer proficiency.

  • Effective communication with students, staff, and leadership.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record‑keeping.

Physical Demands / Work Environment
  • Carrying/lifting up to 5 lbs frequently; up to 10 lbs regularly; up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Visual acuity, speech, hearing, manual dexterity, and coordination needed to drive and operate standard office equipment.
  • Activities include carrying, lifting, twisting, and reaching as needed.
Eligibility Requirements
  • If driving is required, must have a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • I‑9 documentation verifying authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass a post‑offer background check and drug test.
