About the RoleAs an Indirect/Direct Buyer, you will support standard procurement processes for both indirect (MRO) and selected direct materials. You’ll collaborate closely with internal customers to understand their needs, manage purchase orders, evaluate suppliers, and ensure procurement activities align with organizational strategies. This role also requires strong data accuracy, organization, and a commitment to continuous improvement within purchasing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the procurement of indirect (MRO) goods and services
, ensuring timely, cost effective purchasing - Engage with internal customers to understand requirements and provide procurement solutions
- Serve as a liaison between departments and suppliers, helping resolve issues and maintain supplier relationships
- Assist in evaluating supplier proposals, pricing, and capabilities
- Track purchase orders, deliveries, and change orders, ensuring accuracy in ERP/MRP systems
- Update purchase order revisions, pricing, delivery info, and related data
- Assist in resolving discrepancies between Accounts Payable and suppliers
- Conduct supplier research and support vendor qualification efforts
- Generate procurement reports, spend data, and transaction summaries
- Support procurement compliance, data integrity, and standard processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the procurement function
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related function
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with vendors, stakeholders, and team members
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Experience working with vendors and supplier relationships
- 2 years of procurement experience, especially in Indirect Procurement
- Experience with in manufacturing operations
- SAP or other MRP/ERP system experience
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain principles, and contract basics
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
- Strong personal integrity and performance ethics
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Customer focused mindset with strong collaboration skills
- We offer a competitive rate $30-$35 / hr for first shift 7am-3:30pm

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
